Red, White and Blue

How is the 4th of July less than 2 weeks away? I’m not joking, this year seriously needs to SLOW DOWN. Before we know it, we will be talking holiday gift guides and scarves again. Even though I’d take some cooler weather right about now (it hit 119 in Phoenix this week, ugh), I’m ready to relax and enjoy the summer festivities. And most summer parties usually involve red, white and blue.

While I own my fair share of patriotic gear, not all occasions call for an outfit that resembles a flag. It is easy to look cute on the 4th without literal stars and stripes. How adorable is this red fringe tank top? It is one of my new favorites because it is an updated spin on the classic tank. It is comfortable, loose-fitting and you can wear a normal bra with it. Oh, and it comes in white, blue, and yellow in case red isn’t your color.

As far as the rest of my outfit, I’m in love with my blue and white striped bow slides (only $25) and DW watch. Perfect accessories to add some subtle America to my outfit. My bag is from Tory Burch (similar here), sunglasses are by DIFF, necklace is Kendra Scott, jean shorts are straight off the Marshall’s clearance rack (similar here).

I spend a large chunk of my summer wearing denim shorts. There is something about cutoffs that feel very American to me. Or maybe that is the entire world, but there is a good chance I’ll be wearing jean shorts come Independence Day. I love how these fringe shorts (lighter color here) look with my red, white and blue embroidered top, which is only $20. These are also DIFF sunglasses and my sandals are old Tory Burch (similar on sale here)

Those of you who follow me on Instagram got a little sneak peek of this outfit yesterday. Now, I realize the bright purple wall with a the hot pink bag are not exactly American. However, If I swapped out the pink for red and stood in front of a bunch of flags, I’d be good to go on the 4th with this outfit. My navy and white gingham peplum tank (C/O Shein) works for me since I basically have no torso, but it might turn into a crop top for some of you. I definitely recommend ordering up a size as well since it doesn’t have any stretch to it. My jeans are by Yummie, sandals are from good old Target, and my hot pink bag is from Kate Spade (similar here – use code SUNNY to bring it down to only $125!!!).

I’ve also linked to a few other cute red, white and blue items below.

Are you ready for the 4th of July?
