What I Wore Wednesday

Bamboo bag

Happy hump day, friends! I’m back with another episode of What I Wore Wednesday. This one is extra special because you are going to get a little sneak peek into my quick trip to NYC.  Last week, I spent about 48 hours in the Big Apple. My parents were in town so I was able to leave my kids behind and join my hubby in New York City for a couple days. Super quick trip, but worth every second on the cross-country flight. I’d also like to note I was on the airplane without kids. That alone was a vacation.

Obviously, I wasn’t in NYC for long so you’ll see a few recent pics from recent outings around town. Let’s get to it.

White lace dress

My hubby and I were able to go on a date night to the new Mountain Shadows resort in Phoenix. Local people, you’ve gotta go check it out. The restaurant is amazing and the views are even better. My white pom pom dress is from last year, but I found this one that appears to be almost identical. Mine runs small so consider sizing up. My bag is from Lila’s Beauty Bag and my tassel earring are the BaubleBar SugarFix line sold at Target. So cute for only $13!!
Red leather shoes

I know what you guys are thinking. Those RED SHOES (C/O Shoes of Prey). Not only are they amazing, but they were custom-made just for me! They come from a company called Shoes of Prey and they sell custom shoes at an affordable price. You can pick your color, material, heel, straps, etc… and make them truly yours. I seriously considered going with some of the amazing high heel options, but let’s be honest, I’m a mom and heels are no longer part of my daily lifestyle. I went with practical red sandals and I’m absolutely in love with them. They are even inscribed with my Instagram handle! You can use code THESENSIBLESHOPAHOLIC when you place an order to get a free custom inscription. Custom sandals

Boho dress

I absolutely love all the giant brownstones that line the streets of New York. There is something about those historic buildings that makes me feel like I’m in an episode of Sex and the City. Total Carrie Bradshaw moment right here.

My boho romper is by SaraBoo (C/O) and I love it because it has a little flap in the front, making it look more like a dress. Compliments galore wearing this little number, including one from my husband. He usually thinks rompers look a little bit like adult pj’s (let’s be honest, sometimes they do), but he gave this one a big thumbs up. Use code JENNY20 to take 20% off. Keep reading for details on my shoes and clutch.

Cute Summer Outfit

Those of you who follow me on Instagram got a little sneak peek of this outfit. One of my good friends lives in the city and we hit up a few little shops while walking around town. I snagged this amazing embroidered off the shoulder top on the sale rack and couldn’t wait to wear it. I wasn’t able to track the exact top down online (the brand is THML), but I found this top at Nordstrom that is pretty similar. My shoes are currently 40% off and a lighter version of my shorts are available here. My straw clutch came from Current Boutique and is by Tory Burch.

Bell sleeve dress

These pictures aren’t the world’s greatest since it was way too sunny and sweaty out, but I included them anyway because of those brick stoops. Don’t you just want to find a friend and eat lunch on those steps?! These shots were taken walking around Williamsburg and I’m in love with all the architecture. So different from what I see everyday in Arizona.

You guys have seen this striped dress before, but it is one of my summer go-tos. Super comfortable and easy to dress up or down. Plus it is only $15. Find similar Tory Burch sandals here.

Dress with stripes

Finally, this boho dress is from last year, but is definitely one of my favorites. I couldn’t track down anything that looked like this, but I’m crushing over this Free People Minidress that gives me the same vibe. In case you haven’t noticed, I can’t stop wearing my Marc Fisher sandals lately, which are currently 40% off. I’m also wearing my rose gold BaubleBar tassel earrings, which I purchased from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Sadly, they are sold out, but you never know when Nordstrom will restock.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Jenny
