Four Fall Must-Haves

The perfect flannel shirt for fall

Happy Fall y’all! I have to admit, I never say y’all. I’m not from the south and it is one of those words that feels a tad uncomfortable coming out of my mouth. However, it just feels right when we are talking about Fall. Today is the first official day of Fall, so it is only fitting to talk about Fall must-haves.

For today’s post, I’m partnering up with Lands’ End to talk about four of my personal favorite items for Fall. I’ve been a HUGE fan of Lands’ End and their clothing for literally since I was a kid. I personally think there isn’t a better store to work with to talk about Fall. Their classic styles and high quality items are perfect for when the weather starts cooling down. Lands’ End is also offering 30% off their regular priced items right now using code: FRIEND pin: 7922. Don’t forget to enter the code and pin at checkout if you order anything. Let’s get to it.

Love a classic buffalo plaid shirt

#1. A plaid flannel shirt. I absolutely love plaid. Maybe it is a reminder of my school uniform days as a kid, but plaid has once again become my go-to fall uniform. Whether it is a flannel paired with a cute pair of jeans, leggings or even tied around my waist, it just works. When plaid came back in style a couple years back, I seriously had to stop myself from buying plaid shirts. #shopaholicproblems However, every year I find that it is worth it to spend some money and invest in a good quality plaid shirt since I wear them so much. This navy and white buffalo plaid shirt is seriously the softest flannel in my closet. You can’t go wrong with this beauty.

The perfect pair of pull on jeans for fall

#2. A good pair of dark denim jeans. I don’t know what it is, but I’m drawn to really dark denim. They usually are more slimming and are easier to dress up or down. I’m flat out obsessed with this pair of dark blue pull-on jeans. Yes, you heard that right. Pull-on. AKA no zippers or buttons. This pair of jeans reminds me of maternity jeans for non-pregnant people. Anyone who has had a baby before know that’s actually a really, really GOOD thing. Maternity jeans were heaven because they were stretchy and crazy comfy. So are these. I’d say the rise is equivalent to a high-rise even though the product description says mid-rise, which I personally loved. They don’t roll, fall down or leave that odd little point where the button pokes out.

As far as sizing goes, this particular pair of jeans comes in a ton of different inseams. I ordered a 28″ inseam which is considered a petite size. The length was perfect for me to wear with booties so there was just a hint of ankle poking through. Exactly how I like them. There are also 26″, 30″, 32″, 34″ and even 36″ inseams for all you crazy tall people.

Love this navy utility jacket

#3. A good jacket. Let’s be honest. When the weather is cooling down, it is nice to put on a cute jacket to give yourself that perfect layered look. I’m in love with this navy blue utility jacket. Utility jackets are super popular right now and the navy blue color is a fun change from the typical army green. Dark green has never been my color, but navy holds a special place near and dear to my heart. This coat is pretty amazing because it has a hood that zips into the collar, as well as a removable liner.

The braided detail on this cardigan is gorgeous

#4. A cardigan sweater. It wouldn’t be Fall without a comfortable cardigan sweater. Cardigans are super easy to throw over just about everything and are a practical way to stay warm and look cute. How adorable is the braided detail on this cable knit cardigan? It instantly dresses up my simple black tank, jeans and booties. I ordered a size up just to give it that cozy feel, plus I don’t like it when cardigans are too tight in the arms. Also, this way I can wear it over just about anything.
