A Huge Thank You to my Readers

Custom stationary and invitations

Some of you probably know I’ve now been blogging for over two years. I started my blog as a way to share my love of fashion and sensible shopping with the world. I have no idea how I did it, but I somehow have been able to turn my silly little shopping blog into a business and part time job. I’ve been able to work with countless brands, attend a bunch of amazing events, meet new friends, and share some really fun products and services. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be here over two years ago. It seriously feels like yesterday my husband and I were brainstorming blog name ideas while sipping on wine next to our fire pit. So for that, I want to say THANK YOU. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Your support and love has not gone unnoticed and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Blogging definitely isn’t easy. The amount of time it takes to plan out a photo shoot, find a location, take the pictures, edit the shots, write the posts and share them on social media is huge. For the entire first year, barely anyone read my blog and I maybe had 75 total followers on social media. I can’t tell you how many times I questioned if I was wasting my time and considered giving up. But there was always a little voice in my head telling me not to quit and push forward. There are now over 50,000 of you who have clicked that little blue follow button on Instagram, and loads of readers on other platforms as well. I can’t believe it. It is seriously insane.

Still to this day, the toughest part about blogging for me is taking photos of myself. I never thought that in my 30’s I would regularly post photos of myself on the internet. If I’m being honest, I hate 99% of the pics my loving hubby takes of me. Not because of his photography skills, but I can’t help but criticize every little wrinkle, shadow and spot. I now view it as the tough part of my job (let’s be honest, every job has downsides). I don’t think I’ll ever be totally comfortable in front of the camera, but it has gotten easier over the years. You all make me feel like this aging mom of two is a lot cooler than she really is.

The cutest custom pink thank you notes

And because everyone enjoys a handwritten note, today I’m partnering with Basic Invite to talk about their amazing custom stationary. How cute are these adorable personalized thank you cards I was able to customize on their site. The crisp, modern styles are totally up my alley. They have almost unlimited colors to choose from which was super easy to change on their existing templates.

I love that Basic Invite gives you the option to order a custom sample of any item on their site. That way you have the chance to see how pretty the colors are and feel the paper before placing a big order. Basic Invite also has a huge library of birthday party invitations, as well as other general party invitations. Use code 15FF51 to save 15% off on your order.

Like I said above, thank you so much for the love and support from the bottom of my heart. This blogging journey has been so much fun and I couldn’t do it without all of you.
