The Cutest $15 Burnout Peplum T-Shirt

I want to buy this t-shirt in white as well

One of the most common questions I get from readers is if I have a favorite basic t-shirt brand. To be honest, I don’t. I think finding a good plain t-shirt is actually really difficult. I have a bunch of different brands and styles, but most I feel very neutral about. They are fine to wear underneath things, but aren’t exciting or worth writing about. So when I come across an uber-cute, comfortable and affordable t-shirt (only $15), it deserved its own post.

The cutest and most comfortable $15 tee out there

Outfit details: t-shirt, leggings, shoes, bag, necklace, sunglasses, bracelet

As a mom and general lover of all things comfortable, I do spend my fair share of time in t-shirts. I’m totally guilty of living the mom life in leggings, slip ons and t-shirts. However, I’m also a fan of dressing up a plain tee with jeans, boots and a cute necklace or sweater. That’s why when I came across this peplum burnout tee on sale right after Christmas, I knew I had to own it. Especially when I saw it was on sale for only $15. You guys know I love a bargain. It is also available in white (only M, L and XL left in white), but all sizes are still up for grabs in the grey.

It does run a tad big so make sure to size down if you are in between sizes. I’m usually somewhere between a XS or a S depending on the style and I’m glad I went with an XS in this one. It is nice and loose, but not overwhelming. Just flat out comfortable.

I'm all about cute and casual outfits like this one

I love the burnout t-shirt material

Such a cute and comfy t-shirt

The peplum is actually the same all the way across the shirt, which for some reason in all my photos it appears like it has an asymmetrical cut. I think I had it slightly pulled to the one side or something, but it is a symmetrical top for what it is worth. Or maybe I’m developing an awkward side lean from carrying around a giant diaper bag for too many years.

If you are looking for a non-peplum tee, I recommend this one by Madewell. It pretty much is the standard v-neck pocket tee, but it washes nicely and fits true-to-size. I also own the tank top version in case you are stocking up on basics for summer.

Does anyone else have a favorite t-shirt brand I need to try? Any other basic items you guys are looking for these days? Let me know in the comments below and maybe I’ll include it in a future post.
